First, let me introduce myself to anyone who doesn’t know me. My name is Linda Headrick Mitchell. Originally from the rural farm lands of Maryland, I relocated to Denver, CO in 2000. As they say, you can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl. I plan on returning to the east coast, for good, in 2014.
I am the wife of the most incredible and amazing man I know and the mother of two wonderful boys. Ryan, who is sixteen and unbelievably intelligent, and Toryn who is seven. He is completely opposite his brother in that he is very sensitive and expressive. Because they share intellect, the two together make for a very dangerous combination for mom and dad. They are all my life and my love!
Being a typical Cancer personality, I am very protective of my family and will (and do) jump through hoops to make them happy.
I do not believe in apathy, and will speak or act when I believe someone is in emotional or physical danger. I speak and act when others are afraid or conveniently use the “it’s none of my business excuse”. Yes, I said excuse!
In my opinion, complacency (mixed with too much political correctness) is why we are where we are as a society.
My goal and hope is to change complacency by finding the care and compassion in each of my readers.
