He Who Walks With Devotion

Many of you who follow me, probably realize that my last blog was very unpopular with many people.  I have spent a tremendous amount of time looking for the most fitting blog to follow that one.  Clearly, a lot of people had many takes on my topic.  Some felt I had no right to air family problems;  While others felt everything was my fault.  Long time friends understood, and defended me.  Other family members yelled.  There were people who wished me good riddance.  One person, however, stood out over everyone else.  Brother of both Sheila, and my husband, Tom.  Joe was absolutely amazing.

While most of us lost our tempers and threw mud, Joe calmly and rationally pointed out some wonderful reasons why everyone was right, and why everyone was wrong.  More importantly, Joe lived what he preaches.  As easy as it may have been for him to blast me for writing about family issues;  Disapprovingly fuss with Tom for asking me to write it;  Or scold each and every person who proceeded to condemn and angrily express their opinions of the blog, Joe rose above all of that.

He gave each of us words that he takes sacred, and asked us to try and live them in the way in which he believes we are asked to do.  He reassured everyone that we were loved, respected, and special.
At no point did Joe portray himself as above the rest of us.  I have never been more proud to call Joe my friend, and my brother.  I have never been more proud to share his kindness and wisdom with others.
I have learned that I have the best brother any girl could ever wish to have.  I thank him, and I love him.  I am so glad he had the opportunity to spread the word he so clearly does his best to live by.

Linda this is a real tribute to your brother and I believe from what I had read the truth. I hope we all take the lessons he has shown us and put them into action. Love you all and hope you will be able to heal as a family.
I am not sure how to post this as it is asking me for some type of profile so hopefully I will do it ok.

  2. Thank you Jaenne. I believe the first steps to healing are already happening for some. Your post came up just fine and I am going to try to use Ryan's to see if I can get some step by step instructions. Several people have come to me saying that it is very confusing. Back to Joe, I believe it to be true and he really was beacon of hope throughout that entire ordeal.

Thank you Linda... was very nice of you to wright this. I ask anyone who has read the words to thank Jesus for them. He is truly the one who deserves any praise. I am just doing my best has his humble servant to share his glory with others. Without him I am nothing. I am a new creation in Christ. May any and all glory go to him.

  9. Oh Joe. I thank you and I appreciate you passing it on to Jesus. I know that a lot of healing needs to take place. But I think some healing already has. Don't worry about your spelling. It's the content that matters! All my love, Linda
